In addition to being a scientist, Irwin Sherman was an artist. For a stretch of time in his youth, he even aspired to be one professionally. But much as he loved to paint and sketch, he rarely exhibited or sold his work. So, at his memorial, many of his works (including plenty of those pictured below) were showcased, and loved ones were invited to take one home. It was the family’s way of thanking them for being there, as well as a hope for them to keep Irwin’s memory alive.

If you are the proud owner of a Sherman Original, please send us an email and tell us which one(s) you have so we can keep track of their travels. The man really loved to travel!
